His Excellency Brigadier Rtd Julius Maada Bio, President of the Republic of Sierra Leone has arrived at the Dulles International Airport, United States of America.
President Bio and his delegation are in United States on the invite of President Joseph R. Biden to attend a three days U.S. -Africa Leaders Summit in Washington. DC. The Sierra Leone delegation will engage in bilateral meetings, and at the same time will present Sierra Leone to 250 Business Executives.
President Bio is among the six special African Heads of State to meet with President Biden before the Heads of States Dinner at the White House. President Bio will also honor the invite of former Speaker of the United States Congress Nancy Pelosii to chart the way for Sierra Leone’s development agenda.
On the margins, President Bio will meet Alice Albright, the CEO of MCC, The Varian Group CEO Chris Toth- a top Cancer Research Center in United States that want to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the government of Sierra Leone for the construction of a Cancer Research Center in Sierra Leone that will serve the African Continent. The President will also meet with Victoria Jane Nuland, the U.S. Under-Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and the Mano River Union Rail Transportation Project at the Fairmount Horel in Washington DC.
Robert Healey of Healey Foundation who already has foot prints in Sierra Leone will meet President Bio for the construction of the first State of the Art Burn Unit in Sierra Leone that will also serve the Sub Region. A host of business leaders will have a Round Table Investment Conference with President and his delegation.
Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Maada Bio as guest of the First Lady of United States Dr. Jill Biden will engage in a series of discussions bordering on promoting gender equality, and opportunities for women.
